Youssef Abdelmalek is a Toronto headshot photographer specializing in actor headshots, executive portraits, and personal branding photography. How a session works
Every booking runs the same way, whether it is one actor in the Oakville studio or a team of twenty in a Bay Street boardroom.
Book, or talk first
Studio sessions in Oakville can be booked directly online. If you would rather talk first, a free twenty-minute call settles the look, the wardrobe and what the images have to do. Office and team sessions start with that call.
The session
Direction throughout, so nobody has to know how to pose. Every frame appears on a large screen as it is made. If something is not right, we fix it in the room.
Your gallery
Arrives the next business day, narrowed to the strongest frames, grouped by look, with my picks marked. You choose from there.
Retouched files
Within five business days of your selections, sized for web, LinkedIn, casting platforms and print. Rush is quoted when a date is fixed.

The studio sits at Winston Churchill and Dundas, on the Oakville and Mississauga line, with reserved parking and a short run off the 403 and the QEW. For teams and for anyone downtown, I bring the lighting and backdrop to your boardroom and the team comes through between meetings. Travel anywhere in Toronto and the GTA is included. Questions people ask before booking
What does a headshot session cost?
Individual sessions start at $300 + HST, for actors and for executives. An executive session includes one retouched file; actor retouching is from $50 + HST per image, chosen from your gallery after the session. Team rates drop with headcount. The pricing page shows every session side by side.
How long does a session take?
Most individual sessions run between forty-five minutes and two hours, depending on how many looks we are making. A team of four to eight usually finishes in one morning or afternoon, and each person is in front of the camera for about twenty minutes.
What should I wear?
We cover that before your session, so bring the question rather than the answer. As a rule, solid colours over patterns, something you would wear to the meeting that matters, and two or three options so we can choose on the day.
I am not comfortable in front of a camera. Does that matter?
Almost nobody is, and the session is built for that. You are directed the whole way through, you see every frame on the screen as it is made, and nothing leaves the room until you are happy with it.
