Personal Branding Photography in Toronto and Oakville

A headshot answers one question: what do you look like. Personal branding photography answers a harder one: what is it like to work with you.

That is why these sessions do not happen against a grey background. They happen where you actually work, in the clothes you actually wear, doing something recognisably yours. On location across Toronto and the GTA, or at the Oakville studio.

Sessions start at $2,000 + HST

How a session works

The images above come from sessions across Toronto and Oakville. Different people, different rooms, different work. What they share is that none of them could be swapped for a stock photo without the person losing something.

Here is how a session like that actually gets made.

Chapter 01

Where these sessions happen

Most personal branding work is on location, because the location is half the message. I shoot across Toronto and the GTA regularly, and I bring the full kit, so a session is not limited to whatever light a room happens to have.

Your own space

Your office, studio, workshop, clinic or storefront. The most specific option and usually the strongest.

Liberty Village

Brick, glass and open interiors. A frequent choice for founders and creative professionals.

The Distillery District

Texture and character without looking like every other corporate portrait in the city.

Yonge and Dundas

Downtown energy and scale. Useful when the brand is public-facing rather than boardroom.

The Oakville studio

2030 Bristol Circle, at Winston Churchill and Dundas. Controlled light, reserved parking, no location scouting.

Travel

Included anywhere across Toronto and the GTA. No location fee, no mileage line on the invoice.

Chapter 02

What a session actually produces

A personal branding session is not one portrait. It is a set of images that covers the surfaces your work appears on, shot in a single day so they look like they belong together.

The portrait that carries everything

One frame strong enough for a website header, a speaker bio, a press mention, and the profile photo people recognise you by.

Working frames

You in the middle of the work rather than posed in front of it. These are the images that make a services page feel like a real practice.

Environmental and wide frames

Room to place text over them. Website heroes, LinkedIn banners, slide backgrounds, podcast and newsletter artwork.

Social crops

Vertical and square versions of the strongest frames, so nothing has to be badly cropped later to fit a platform.

"Youssef has an exceptional gift—not just for capturing images, but for capturing essence. He doesn't just take photos—he showcases people. Every shot he takes has intention, style, and precision. He has an uncanny eye for lighting, color, and mood, and he knows exactly how to bring out the best in his subjects."

Chapter 03

Who books this rather than a headshot

Consultants and advisors whose website is the whole storefront. Founders raising, hiring, or launching. Speakers and authors who need imagery a conference organiser can actually use. Realtors and public-facing professionals building something in their own name. Coaches, therapists and practitioners whose clients choose them personally rather than institutionally.

The common thread is that the buyer is choosing a person, not a company. When that is true, one grey-background headshot is doing the work of an entire brand, and it usually cannot.

A headshot says what you look like. A personal brand session says what it is like to be in the room with you. Only one of those is worth paying for twice.
Chapter 04

How a session is planned

Every session starts with a call, free, before anything is booked. We work out what the images are for, where they will live, and how many different looks the brief actually needs. That conversation decides the locations, the wardrobe direction, and the length of the day.

A personal branding session starts at $2,000 + HST. Beyond that, the price moves with the brief rather than a tier list, because a single-location afternoon and a multi-location day with wardrobe changes are different projects. Additional retouched files are $100 + HST each. Travel across Toronto and the GTA is included, with no location fee. Full details are on the investment page.

On the day, you see every frame on a large screen as we shoot and choose your favourites before you leave. Retouched files arrive within five business days of your selections. Rush is available on request.

Building something in your own name?

Sessions start at $2,000 + HST. Fifteen minutes on a call settles what the images are for, where we shoot, and how long the day needs to be.
